Wordwise Online English Foreign Teacher is an online English learning platform headquartered in Davao City, Philippines. It is comprised of Filipino English teachers who are very passionate in delivering quality English lessons to earnest learners of the language.

The Philippines is the third largest country in the world where English is the official language. Filipino English teachers are recognised and loved by students and parents from many countries such as mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan because of their warm, friendly and serious teaching style.

Wordwise was founded in 2019 with the goal to provide one-on-one English lessons with an assigned regular teacher for flexibility in learning at the comfort of your home or anywhere where there’s an access to the internet. Since then, we continue to provide our services to learners from Mainland China, Taiwan and Malaysia and has been well received by both parents and students.

Ms. Amie, the Team Manager, has years of experience both as a classroom based ESL teacher in China and as an online teacher mainly to Chinese students, after settling back in her home country, The Philippines. Her time teaching in China both in language training schools and regular schools has given her an opportunity to understand the English language needs of the Chinese students.

Ms. Fai, the Director of Studies has worked as an online ESL teacher and also as a TESOL trainer to equip and mentor aspiring ESL teachers.  Her current involvement to the team is to ensure that every English teacher who joins Wordwise will adhere to the vision of providing excellent quality of English learning to every learner, and to maintain a good professional conduct all throughout.

Wordwise has adapted the Oxford textbook series namely Let’s Go, Oxford Phonics World and Family and Friends as the basic learning materials in class. Furthermore, according to the learner’s ability, extra English materials (reading and videos) that are suitable for his/ her age and  English ability are also integrated for wider exposure to the English language.
